Dear Parents/Carers,
As you would be aware, the Premier has today announced that there will be an extension to the lockdown, until 4pm Sunday 8 August 2021.
Remote learning will begin tomorrow Tuesday 3 August 2021 through to Friday 6 August 2021 at this stage. Queensland Health has also decided that schools can move to reduce the number of staff on school sites from this Wednesday 4th August 2021.
School remains open for students of essential workers only.
For Tuesday 3 August , 2021 Year 7 – 11 students learning at home or at school are to follow the procedures to access learning and notify the school of absences outlined in the letter sent to families on Sunday. This information is also available on our website.
I will send another email tomorrow outlining the learning arrangements for Year 7 -11 students for Wednesday – Friday this week.
Year 12 students and parents have received an email from Mrs Lindy Want (Year 12 DP) updating them on the Year 12 Exam block, assessment due dates and online learning expectations this week.
The current COVID situation is moving rapidly, and I will keep you informed as soon as further information comes to hand. My highest priority is to ensure the safety of all members of the Springfield Central school community.
