Sporting Academies
Our school is home to four elite Sporting Academies, recognised among the top programs in Southeast Queensland (SEQ). These academies offer specialised coaching, advanced training programs, and pathways to high-level competition:

School Carnivals
We host three major annual carnivals, where students compete for their house teams and showcase their athleticism:
Swimming Carnival – A high-energy day of individual and team swimming events.
Cross-Country Carnival – A test of endurance and determination, with top runners qualifying for district-level competitions.
Athletics Carnival – A full-day event featuring track and field events, including sprints, long jump, high jump, and shot put.
These carnivals not only encourage school spirit but also serve as pathways to district, regional, and state representation.
Competitive Representative Sports
Students have the opportunity to represent the school in competitive sports at multiple levels. For more information about carnivals and other sporting opportunities, speak with HOD HPE Mr Christian Tucker or the Sport Coordinator, Mr Thomas Gehrke.
District Level – Compete against other schools in the Springfield region.
Metropolitan Regional Level – Qualify for selection in representative teams competing across Greater Brisbane.
State Level – Showcase talent at Queensland State Championships.
Our students have a strong history of success, with many progressing to elite competitions and professional sporting pathways.
School Gym
Our fully equipped school gym is available for students looking to improve their fitness and athletic performance.
Senior students can access the gym during designated training sessions.
A signed consent waiver is required to use the gym. Students should speak with Mr Tucker for more information on obtaining the necessary forms and guidelines.
