As part of our ongoing commitment to excellence, Springfield Central State High School is proud to offer scholarshipsfor the 2025 school year. These scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate outstanding achievement, leadership, and commitment to our core values: Respect, Relationships, Resilience, and Responsibility.
What Does the Scholarship Cover? Successful recipients will have their School Resource Scheme (SRS) fees covered for the 2025 school year.
Who Can Apply?
Eligibility: Open to students currently in Years 7-11 in 2024.

Types of Scholarships Available
Springfield Central SHS offers scholarships in four key areas: Academic, Cultural, Leadership & Community Service, and Sports.
Academic Scholarships
Awarded to students who excel in CORE subjects: Mathematics, Science, English, and Humanities. Criteria:
Demonstrated academic excellence
Strong commitment to learning and ongoing achievement
Embodiment of the school’s core values
Cultural Scholarships
For students who showcase outstanding talent in Dance, Drama, Music, Visual and Media Arts, or Languages.Criteria:
Excellence in cultural or arts achievements
Participation in performances, competitions, or exhibitions
Commitment to the school’s core values
Leadership & Community Service Scholarships
For students who inspire others, take initiative, and actively contribute to the school and local community. Criteria:
Proven leadership and mentoring ability
Active participation in school or community groups
Demonstrated commitment to service and core values
Sports Scholarships
For students excelling in Volleyball, AFL, or Basketball, with representation at the Met West level within the last 24 months. Criteria:
Active participation in the SCSHS Academy for their chosen sport
Demonstrated success in high-level competition
Commitment to the school’s core values
Additional Desirable Criteria for Sports Scholarships:
Informal leadership within the SCSHS Academy (Staff Academy Coordinator endorsement required)
Selection in Met West or Central Comets Teams in the last 24 months (proof required)
Recognition as Age Champion in a school carnival within the last 24 months
“Scale Great Heights” Award
Each of our local state catchment primary schools offers one Year 6 student a scholarship titled the “Scale Great Heights” award. For details, please contact your catchment primary school directly.
