Scholarships

​​​​ ​As part of our on-going commitment to excellence in student achievement, Springfield Central State High is pleased to offer scholarships to students again for 2025. The scholarships are available to responsible young people prepared to strive for their personal best, who will become a credit to their families, and the school. 

The scholarship will cover the School Resource Scheme (SRS) for the 2025 school year.

Eligibility : Students in Year 7-11 in 2024.

2025​ Scholarships recipients ANNOUNCED​ TERM 4

Students who apply for a scholarship at Springfield Central State High must meet the clearly defined criteria as stated below. The successful scholarship recipient will demonstrate:

Academic Scholarships:

  • Excellence in all CORE subject areas of Mathematics, Science, English and Humanities.

  • Academic achievements.

  • Commitment to the four school core values: Respect, Relationships, Resilience and Responsibility.

Cultural Scholarships:

  • Excellence in the area of arts or languages e.g. Dance, Drama, Music, Visual and Media Arts.

  • Cultural or Arts achievements.

  • Commitment to the four school core values: Respect, Relationships, Resilience and Responsibility.

Leadership and Community Service Scholarships:

  • Ability to lead and mentor fellow students.

  • Ability to participate in, and contribute to, both school and community groups.

  • Commitment to the four school core values: Respect, Relationships, Resilience and Responsibility.

Sports Scholarships:

  • Met West representation in the 24 months prior to application in either Volleyball, AFL or Basketball.

  • Active participation in the relevant SCSHS Academy sport listed in the above Met West team.

  • Commitment to the four school core values: Respect, Relationships, Resilience and Responsibility.

The following is additional, desirable criteria for the Sport Scholarships

  • Ability to lead through informal leadership roles within the relevant SCSHS Academy (Staff Academy Coordinator endorsement required).

  • Participation in a Met West or Central Comets Team in the last 24 months, for any sport (evidence of team selection must be provided).

  • Success through achieving age champion in one of the 3 school carnivals in the last 24 months.
