Year 7 curriculum
Year 7s will enter high school with core studies in English, History (Studies of Society and the Environment (SOSE)), Mathematics, Science, Japanese (Languages Other Than English (LOTE)), and Health and Physical Education (HPE).
Additionally, year 7 classes will rotate through a range of additional subjects across the Arts and Technology: Art, Music, Computing (ICT) and Robotics.
Year 8 curriculum
The curriculum for year 8s serves as an extension of what is offered in year 7. Students study English, Mathematics and Science for a year; and Japanese, HPE and History (SOSE) for a semester.
Year 8s rotate through a wider range of additional subjects, which may be selected as future electives in year 9. Each of these subjects is studied for a term throughout the year: Art, Drama, Music, Home Economics, ICT and Industrial Technology and Design (ITD).
Year 9 curriculum
In year 9, students begin their journey to a more specialised education, as they select a range of subjects to pursue across the Arts, Technology and LOTE faculties. These electives are studied for a period of a semester, and are chosen from subjects such as: Art, Dance, Drama, Music, Business, Graphics, Home Economics, ICT, ITD and Japanese.
In addition to the elective curriculum, students continue their year-long study of English, Mathematics and Science, and a semester-study of HPE and History (SOSE).
Students in junior secondary also student Power Up (PUP), a subject to assist with literacy and numeracy development, and a Young Leaders' Development program (YLP). These subjects are studied weekly throughout the junior secondary curriculum.
