Springfield Central State High School has established an
official school Facebook page to enhance communication with our students,
parents and local community and support promotion of our school in the wider
community. The school’s Facebook page will be available for positive promotion
of the school and as a channel for communication of school activities and
events with members of our school community.
As our school continues to grow, utilising innovative
social media platforms such as Facebook for enhanced communication with our
school and wider community as well as promotion of our school community will
benefit students, parents and the school.
We encourage parents that interact with Facebook to
‘like’ the Springfield Central SHS Facebook page. The school will use Facebook
to share posts on current events and activities as well as the school

Students and parents will have the ability to interact
with the Facebook page. We ask that students and parents interact with Facebook
in a responsible and respectful manner. Students interacting with the school’s
Facebook will be required to uphold conditions of the school’s Responsible
Behaviour Plan for Students. Parents and students that want to report a
complaint or concern to the school are encouraged to follow the existing school
complaints process and contact the school administration.
As the school is operating on Facebook we have added the
school Facebook page to an updated state school consent form for use and record
of images, name or personal information by the school. The school often uses
images of students for promotion and celebration of our student’s achievements.
On Monday 29 February each student will receive an updated state school consent
form. Students will be requested to return the state school consent form by
Friday 4 March to CARE teachers.
